challenge

Emposo started working with a multinational specialty chemicals and sustainable technologies company in 2021. Since then, we have successfully delivered over 100 global projects, including cyber risk reduction, operational technology implementation, identity threat detection and response (ITDR), cloud and data centre set-up, infrastructure and operations, LAN and WAN refreshes, and several divestments.

The Emposo change management approach was central to every one of these engagements.

The
solution

Emposo employs a robust change management and governance model to ensure successful delivery across all programmes. Our end-to-end methodology covers discovery, planning, communications, implementation, training, adoption, and enhancement.

For example, in the global cybersecurity programme, we identified 11 work streams in the discovery and planning stages. We know that what starts well, goes well, so a communication plan for stakeholders and users was crucial to effective delivery. We identified a “change network” of over 110 individuals within the client’s organisation to disseminate information and act as local evangelists. These individuals would ensure that work streams were treated as a priority.

Alongside the implementation of changes in technology, it was imperative that the wider business understood the importance of the programme outcomes and adopted new policies and ways of working.

The benefit
delivered

Emposo successfully delivered these programmes despite the challenges presented by Covid-19 and remote working. We attribute the success of the programme to our “high contact sport” approach to change management, which helped us to win over employee hearts and minds. Informing the business of the reasons why the project was implemented, how and when it would be implemented, and what we required of each individual and team was critical to the successful achievement of the outcomes.

And while our change management methodology is robust, we will continue to be flexible in future projects, adjusting the levels of governance, change control, and change management to facilitate agile and efficient solutions.
